Balexco Receives “Green Factory” Seal for the Second Consecutive Year
Bahrain Aluminium Extrusion Company (Balexco) has received the “Green Factory” seal for 2025 at a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce on Sunday, 22 February 2026.
This initiative aligns with the Industrial Sector Strategy (2022–2026) and supports the Kingdom of Bahrain’s direction toward advancing the circular carbon economy, strengthening environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, and expanding the adoption of low-emission solutions.
On this occasion, H.E. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, affirmed that the initiative represents a practical model of partnership between the public and private sectors. He noted that factories awarded the seal demonstrate an advanced level of environmental awareness and responsibility, contributing to the national path toward more sustainable and competitive industrial development.
The “Green Factory” seal is considered one of the Ministry’s incentive tools to support the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts to achieve carbon neutrality. It encourages factories to enhance their operational processes, improve resource efficiency, and adopt environmentally friendly technologies in line with global best practices in sustainable manufacturing.
